The Story
A Button for a Birthday
The painting spans an entire football field in Aconcagua, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of La Calera. Portraits, memories, and stories are intertwined in a warm shade of orange, a color that has long given the place its nickname, "Salmon."
Social Art Project has collaborated with those who live and reside in La Calera to create this artwork. Through interviews, observations, and interpretations, a shared vision has emerged, where each community has contributed images and stories that have been interpreted by the Social Arts Project's team.
Social Art Project is a co-creative art project that exchanges ideas with artists, muralists, and young creators from each country.
